Roby Sixth Form College
Roby Sixth Form College is one of the youngest sixth forms on Merseyside, and has become a popular choice for ambitious A Level and BTEC students who enjoy the personal attention and freedom of choice uniquely offered at the Sixth Form College.
RSFC is situated in a purpose-built Centre with excellent, modern facilities for all subjects. The Roby Campus is very accessible by public transport from all parts of Merseyside. The site also has ample free car parking.
The College has a first-rate academic programme supported by committed teaching staff willing to go that extra mile to see their students reach their potential. For example, last year 21 A level subjects recorded a 100% pass rate and all BTEC National students passed their course, many with Distinctions and Merits. The College also supports a lively enrichment programme featuring a choice of sports, popular music, drama, etc. KCC Live(99.8 FM), the community radio station for young people, is based in the college and offers many voluntary opportunities for our students to assist in the production and even presenting of radio programmes.
Our students achieve great things outside of their studies; for example the football squad has won an international tournament in the USA for the last two years, resulting in ten offers of sports scholarships at universities in the States. In the last three years two of our A Level students have been selected for the Prime Minister’s Global Fellowship which is a prestigious award which allows the successful students to spend six weeks in a developing country to study the culture, language and economy of that country. Our two students have been placed in India and China for this experience of a lifetime.
