Audrey Hepburn finds a home at Knowsley Community College - 02/10/2009

Holly Parkinson, a former Prescot High School pupil, enrolled at Knowsley Community College this September on a Public Services course. This subject choice may come as a surprise, however, as Holly also has another talent.

During her time at Prescot High, Holly attended Knowsley Enterprise Academy, where she completed an Art project. The results were so outstanding that her painting, which depicts Audrey Hepburn, was bought by the College in an auction organised by the pupils of Knowsley Academy.

The painting is now showcased in the busy Hair and Beauty Reception where it gets many admiring comments. As well as being a budding artist, Holly is totally focussed on finishing her Public Services course, with plans to go onto University and eventually become a Paramedic.

Holly said, ‘I am really proud of how my painting turned out as it took me 2 months to complete and I have never really done much art before. I am enjoying being at College and it is great to see my Artwork on display here.’
