Aim Higher at Roby Sixth Form - 23/09/2009

The Aimhigher bus visited Roby Sixth Form on 23^rd September. Students boarded the bus and were informed about the choices available to them when they leave College. The roadshow, now in its ninth year, is part of a national programme to encourage more young people from backgrounds with little, or no family experience of Higher Education to consider University.

Laura Millen, a past A Level student of Roby Sixth Form College and recent graduate of Manchester University, is now employed by Aimhigher and led the student tutorials aboard the bus.

Laura said “being a recent graduate, I am finding it really enjoyable speaking to and encouraging students to continue their education on to University. It’s great to come back to the place where my student life started and let other students know about the opportunities that await them.”
